Founded in 2002 by Richard and Bernard d'Offay in Saint-Andre, the Trois-Freres
distillery produces the famous Takamaka rum, named after a district on the
island of Mahe. With the new, strictly limited bottling "Le Clos Napa Laz",
Takamaka presents for the first time a pure white rum made from 100% Seychelles
sugar cane. This premiere marks an important milestone in the further
development of the distillery.
The master distiller precisely monitors the fermentation temperature and selects
the best "hearts" during the distillation process, while the "heads" and "tails"
are distilled again to extract additional aromas. The final composition consists
of 16.5% freshly distilled heart and 83.5% re-distilled blend, giving the rum
exceptional complexity and depth.
