On the rugged coast of the unique Isle of Skye lies south of Dunvagan directly
on the shore of a bay as if conjured up, the snow-white small distillery
Talisker. Two brothers founded the distillery in 1831, and after their deaths
numerous others took over the attempt to continue the distillery. All failed
until a financial manager and a wine and spirits merchant succeeded in taking
over. Talisker was triple distilled until 1928, then only double. After a fire
in 1960, the distillery was rebuilt true to the original. Today, Talisker
belongs to the Diageo spirits group.

Talisker 30 Year Old is a deep bow to the distillery's home and a heritage that
celebrates the fusion of seafood and whisky to honor the natural wonders of the
island. Aged over three decades, this whisky shines in its full glory and
celebrates the rugged wilderness of its surroundings. Each year, carefully
selected American oak casks that have been previously filled with whisky are
used to create this special drop. Talisker 30 Year Old is neither colored nor
chill-filtered and is bottled at its natural cask strength.



In the U.S., Talisker has formed an exciting partnership with Real Oyster Cult
to mark this remarkable release. Together they offer careful combinations of
seafood and whisky. This whisky's origins near the sea give it its
characteristic maritime and salty notes, making it an ideal companion to oysters
and caviar. These combinations are a true tribute to Talisker's long tradition
of combining whisky and seafood.
