Since the founding of the Balvenie distillery, there have been hardly any
changes; the single malts are still produced in the traditional way today.
Together with its sister distillery Glenfiddich, The Balvenie is still
independent and family-owned by its founders.

The Balvenie STORIES bottlings are based on the stories told from one generation
to the next. A Revelation of Cask and Character is 100% matured in sherry casks
and marks a significant first as it is the first to be produced under the sole
responsibility of Kelsie McKechnie, the new Malt Master at The Balvenie. This
exceptional drop will also be the only 100% sherry cask matured whisky in the
range. Kelsie McKechnie, after six years under the careful guidance of Malt
Master David C. Stewart MBE, has now developed her first bottling, which she
proudly signed as Malt Master.

The packaging of this whisky is adorned with a custom illustration by renowned
British artist and printer Andy Lovell. This illustration shows the cooperage of
Balvenie Distillery in all its splendor and beauty. Andy's work, directly
inspired by the distillery, adorns not only this packaging, but also the labels
and tubes of the entire Balvenie Stories range. He perfectly captures the mood,
light and atmosphere of the distillery's scenic surroundings with bold, handmade
gestural marks.
