Macallan was inspired by Jordi Roca i Fontane, a patissier from Spain who became
famous worldwide with his desserts. Together with his two brothers, he runs a
restaurant in Girona, Spain. In 2014, Jordi Roca was named "World's Best Pastry
Chef".
The Macallan Intense Arabica is inspired by the Ethiopian Arabica bean. The
Arabica bean was the first coffee variety grown in Ethiopia. Through the
flavorful notes of Macallan Intense Arabica, one is invited on a sensory journey
through taste and aroma. The maturation of the exquisite whiskey took place in
seasoned sherry oak barrels.
