The Tomintoul distillery, idyllically situated in the Scottish Highlands within
the Cairngorms National Park, was named after the nearby village of Tomintoul.
Since its foundation in 1964, it has been an integral part of the region's
whisky culture and is now part of Angus Dundee Distillers.
The "Tomintoul 12 Years Old Oloroso Sherry Casks Finish" is an outstanding
example of the distillery's craftsmanship. This whisky is first matured for 12
years in oak casks before being given an additional finish in Oloroso sherry
casks, which gives it complex fruity and spicy notes. This bottling is
particularly noteworthy as it is neither colored nor chill-filtered, which
preserves the natural flavors and authenticity of the whisky.
With a limited edition of 14,400 bottles, this whisky offers enthusiasts and
collectors an opportunity to experience a unique and authentic expression of the
Scottish art of distillation.
Awards:
- Gold medal at the International Spirits Challenge 2023
