Ever since the "Starship Enterprise" episode "By Any Other Name" aired in 1968,
many Star Trek fans have been eagerly awaiting the "green" drink that Scotty
pulled out from under the bar in the legendary scene and served with the words
"It's green!" - without knowing exactly what it contained. This iconic scene
later found an homage in the 1992 episode "Relics", in which Data hands the aged
Scotty a similar green bottle with the same words. Only Captain Jean-Luc Picard
finally clarifies that it is Aldebaran whiskey, a strong and rather rare
alcoholic drink in the 24th century.
