perfect balance between power, finesse and complexity is obtained from the
predominant presence of Pinot Noir and other reserve wines.
This cuvee is 50-55% Pinot Noir, 28-33% Chardonnay and 15-20% Meunier. The
dominant grape variety gives this champagne power and structure, while the
Chardonnay gives it elegance, freshness as well as delicacy. The touch of
Meunier favors the wonderful fruity nuances.
The reserve wines contribute 30 to 45% to the blend, depending on the vintage.
These come from up to 6 different harvests and are kept in individual vats per
grape variety, per cru as well as per vintage.
This Yellow Label matures for 12 months in wooden barrels, which leads to the
unique roundness of Champagne.
