The name Zubrowka is derived from the Polish word for bison (Zubr), a connection
that reflects the deep roots of this spirit in Polish tradition, whose origins
date back to the 14th century.
Produced by the Polish company Polmos, Zubrowka Bison Grass Vodka is based on
rye and is refined with the aromatic bison grass, which is reminiscent of the
scent of woodruff. This vodka is characterized by a stalk of bison grass, which
can be found in every bottle. After distillation, the vodka undergoes a short
maturation phase in oak barrels and is given a slight sweetness by the addition
of 5 to 6 grams of sugar per liter.
