Dornfelder is a classic grape that especially thrives in a somewhat cooler climate, but despite the fact that we in The Netherlands can take advantage of this in relation to central Europe, an independently built wine from this grape is only very limited in our country. Vineyard Thorn has fortunately embraced this grape and rightly so, because partly due to the aging in French oak, the wine has a nice softness with ripe tannins. In the taste a lot of red in combination with black fruit including raspberry. Nice glass to drink independently with spring approaching, but simply enjoy it in combination with turkey or veal with spring vegetables.
