Dry red wine, 75cl. Full bodied Manto Negro, Cabernet Sauvignon and Syrah blend
from Binissalem, Mallorca in the Balearic Islands of Spain. 14.5% ABV.Suitable
for Vegans.
Created by winemakers Isaias Curiel and Jose Luis Segul at the family winery
Bodega Biniagual, the Veran is their top flight red wine. The grapes were
harvested from a vineyard that sits 140m above sea level, enjoying cool winds
and rich clay soils to provide for a slow, careful ripening season. They are
then small batch fermented before spending 15 months in both French and American
oak. This results in a full, complex red wine layered with violet aromas, cocoa,
warm spice, opulent blackberry fruit and a long finish. It's smooth, silky and
not too dry thanks to a hint of liquorice and toasted nuts on the finish.
You'll like this if you like...Cabernet/Shiraz blends from the New World,
parties with old friends, classic literature or warm hugs.
Pairs beautifully with: Rich, meaty stews, game, steak burgers, vegetable
Moussaka or cheesy jacket potato.
Cheese pairing:Comté, Gruyere or Beemster cheese.
