Kracher Pinot Grisis a dry white wine from Burgenland,Austria. It's 100% Pinot
Gris with 13.0% abv.Suitable for Vegans.
Winemaker of the Year seven-times running, Alois Kracher, was probably one of
the finest winemakers in the world. Despite being a specialist in sweet wines,
Kracher's dry wine project has led to two marvellously satisfying wines: a
Welschriesling and this Pinot Gris. Sadly Alois Kracher passed away in 2017 and
this wine continues his legacy for quality wine-making. From the 2017
vintage this wine is full and rich but intensely fruity. Green and red apples
meet with white peach, honeydew melon and green herbs with hints of salt and
fruit salad on the finish. It manages to juggle being full of character
and divinely refreshing. As theWine Advocatesays, this is "easy drinking at the
highest level".
Pairs beautifully with: Pan-seared sea bass, oven-roasted chicken with garlic
and thyme, roasted vegetable platter, pork steak, hot and sour soup or fresh pea
and mint risotto. Also great with pasta or veal in a creamy sauce.
Cheese pairing: Earthy, firm goat's cheese like Garrotxa or Mozzarella.
