THE PRODUCER
Producing only 2000 cases per vintage, demand for Clos du Clocher remains
consistently high. Established in 1924 by Jean-Baptiste Audy, now overseen by
his great-grandson Jean-Baptiste Bourotte, who has modernized the estate with
new facilities including an underground, air-conditioned barrel room. Situated
on prime clay and gravel parcels on the Pomerol plateau, its four key vineyard
plots benefit from optimal locations. Renowned consultant Michel Rolland advises
head winemaker Cécile Dupuis, ensuring quality at every step.

THE WINE

Considered a symbol of refinement by wine enthusiasts, the distinguished 'Clos
Du Clocher 2016' originates from Bordeaux's prestigious Pomerol region, France.
Meticulously crafted by the esteemed Ronan by Clinet team, this luxurious wine
exudes elegance. With a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc grapes, it offers a
uniquely layered and complex aroma profile.

Aged for 16 months in French oak, this full-bodied delight unveils a rich palate
of black cherries, mulberries, and Asian spices, interwoven with earthy
undertones and delicate floral notes. Its long, captivating finish embodies
Bordeaux's essence in every sip. Well-balanced, it epitomizes the region's
terroir with finesse. With impressive aging potential, this vintage will only
enhance its status as a prized addition to any collection.

CRITICS SCORES
We choose our wines based on a range of criteria(seehow we choose our wines)of
which critic scores is justone. Rather than simply highlight the best score to
promote a wine, our average critic score is calculated from the scores provided
by several respected wine critics, who we follow for specific regions. They do
not represent all critic scores and, wherever possible, we try and give more
weight to more recent reviews. Where appropriate we consider market-based scores
like Global Wine Score or Wine Searcher Average scores.

As a rule, we look to offer wines that achieve a92/100average critic score or
better and frankly a lot of very good wines simply don’t make the cut. As a
high-end provider we want to reflect that positioning in the quality of wines we
offer. Such wines are only a tiny fraction of those generally on offer in the
market. We believe that an average score is a more conservative and
representative approach, but it is still subjective and only offered as a guide
to our customers, who will (and should) do their own research. We will add
individual critic scores to our website in the future.
