WHAT'S IN THE BOX?
1 * Château Grand Tayac Margaux 2018
Situated on the same terroir as Châteaux Margaux and Palmer stands the impressive Chateau Grand Tayac. With the help of wine consultant Eric Boissenot, the grapes are sourced from a single parcel of vines with an age of over 50 years to produce this consistently high scoring and limited production Margaux. Château Grand Tayac is a blend of 70% Cabernet Sauvignon, 27% Merlot, 3% Petit Verdot and will continue to develop over many few years to come. A hidden gem!
1 * Château Graves de Pez Saint-Estèphe 2013
92 Points - International Wine Report (2014). The vineyard is situated on some of the finest terroir of Saint-Estèphe, on the hallowed gravel plateau shared among parcels from Château Montrose, Cos dEstournel and Haut Marbuzet. Winemaking is done in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks and the wine is transferred into oak barrels for 12 months of ageing. This enhances the fruit in this wine and there are no hard tannins, rusticity or dryness. The result is a sensational Saint-Estèphe.
1 * Château Haut Boutisse Saint-Émilion Grand Cru 2020
91 Points - International Wine Report. Château Haut-Boutisse is one of the wines of Château Palais Cardinal, a family property that has existed since the middle of the 19th century and neighbour to the Grand Cru Classé Château Monbousquet. The Palais Cardinal property takes its name from the sumptuous residence built in the 12th and 13th centuries. An average vine age of over 40 years and from the fabulous 2018 vintage gives a wine full of concentration, structure and classic Saint-Émilion traits.
