91 Points - The Wine Front. Grown at the base of the Christmas Hills on the western of Yarra Glen, the Homestead vineyard has an expansive easterly exposure with a degree of protection from the westerly heat and hot northerly winds. This little subregion grows wine with the full and rich expression of the Yarra Valley floor with a restraint that the more exposed hillsides dont afford. Pale straw yellow with a restrained youthful nose, quietly complex. Poached pear, freshly cut quince, jasmine blossom and lemon rind with ripples of pastry and crème patissiere across the smooth surface.

About the Producer
Bobar wines are grown locally and hand-made by Sally and Tom Belford in Yarra Glen on the western side of the Yarra Valley. Pioneers of the natural wine movement they have shared a farming and winemaking dream since 1998 when they met at Charles Sturt University studying Viticulture.
Crafted entirely by hand, their wines undergo no filtration, heating, cooling, or additives. They epitomise authenticity, exuding vitality and embodying sustainable practices in the realm of natural winemaking, all while being crafted with meticulous precision and care.
