92 Points - Allen Meadows, burghound.com. In the heart of the Côte des Blancs to the south of the village of Meursault is the famed 1er cru Genevrières, named after the juniper trees that used to grow there many years ago. The Domaine Latour-Giraud Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières is a wine of exquisite structure and length, with a wonderful elegance and smooth rounded palate.
Taste
Aromas and flavours of white flowers, spice and citrus fruit, with a long fresh finish. It combines intensity with elegance.

Smoky, cool and elegant aromas are composed primarily of various white orchard fruit, acacia blossom, citrus rind, wood and a hint of exotic tea. The racy, intense and admirably concentrated flavors possess very good volume as well as an appealing minerality that adds a sense of lift to the sneaky long, balanced and firm finale. This too is lovely and a wine that will need at least a few years of cellaring as it's presently fairly tightly wound. Outstanding.
91 Points - Decanter (2010 Vintage)
"Real grandeur here. Rich, very concentrated, dense and dramatic, with considerable power and weight. Very good potential with the richness to show more complexity as it ages. Backbone is here but the wine has not filled out yet."
About the Producer
Jean-Pierre Latour has 10 hectares under vine in Meursault. Wonderfully sited vineyards, low yields, brilliant winemaking and no fining or filtration, make this one of the most exciting domaines in the village at present.
