The appellation of Vouvray in the Loire Valley is devoted to Chenin Blanc in all of its glory, producing wines from dry to lusciously sweet, still to sparkling. This beautiful Vouvray Méthode Traditionnelle is a stunning aperitif and dessert sparkler, from a small family run Domaine dedicated to all things Chenin Blanc.
About the Producer
Created in 1988 by Alain Le Capitaine, the estate had only 0.25 ha of vines planted in the family garden. Over time the estate grew, and in 1995, Christophe Le Capitaine took the initiative to settle down with Alain in order to pool their know-how. Since 2013 Florian Le Capitaine, after studying viticulture and oenology, has joined the adventure. Today the estate has 28 ha of vines planted with Chenin Blanc on the slopes of Rochecorbon, producing the full range of Vouvray wines and the traditional Touraine rosé method.
