91 Points - Decanter (2021 Vintage)
"A compact, tightly knit, chewy Cabernet Sauvignon with expressive blackberry, black cherry and graphite notes laced with dried wild herbs and rose petal nuances. The medium to full-bodied finish reveals a host of dried herbs and earth under a canopy of cedarwood spices. 90% Cabernet Sauvignon, 4% Petit Verdot, 3% Merlot, 1% Malbec, 1% Cabernet Franc aged 16 months in 25% predominantly new French oak. In 2023, as Louis M. Martini winery celebrated its 90th anniversary, Mark Williams entered his third harvest as a winemaker (just the fifth since the winery's founding). Williams was promoted to the role after working with Michael Eddy since 2016. Martini was one of the first bonded wineries in America to open post-prohibition."
90 Points - Wine Review Online (2021 Vintage)
"Louis M. Martinis 2021 Cabernet reminds me of the way that Napa Valley Cabernets tasted in the 1980s before they got bigger (and often better) like a good cru Medoc Bordeaux with always-mature fruit and a good wood backing and gentle tannins. As such, it is soothing and comforting, just there to enjoy and not to over think.---- Roger Morris"
94 Points - James Suckling (2019 Vintage)
"A slightly high-toned red with walnut, berry, chocolate and spice on the nose and palate. Medium-to full-bodied with chewy tannins and a rich finish. A little firmer and tighter than in the past, which equates to a more serious red. A touch of petit sirah in this."
