93 Points - James Suckling. Stags Leap Wine Cellars, notably known for being the winery that won the Cabernet Sauvignon competition in the famous 1976 Judgment of Paris, was founded in 1970, and is considered a Napa Valley first-growth estate. The 2018 Artemis Cabernet Sauvignon delivers expressive aromas of ripe raspberry, dark cherry and blackberry along with hints of cedar and spice. The mid-palate is pleasant and round with flavours of dark chocolate, plum, dried fruit and toasted oak. The finish is rich and lingering.

93 Points - James Suckling

"The 2019 ARTEMIS Cabernet Sauvignon delivers expressive aromas of mocha, chocolate covered cherry, crushed raspberry, olive and thyme. Rich and flavorful, the wine is well-structured with fine grained tannins. The palate has a pleasing brambleberry note that leads to a long finish with a hint of oak spice."

93 Points - James Suckling (2018)

"A chewy red with blackberry, blackcurrant and dark-chocolate character. Full-bodied with polished tannins and a savory finish. Drink or hold."

92 Points - Wilfred Wong (2018)

"The Stag's Leap Wine Cellars Artemis is one the Napa Valley's tried and true Cabs, and the 2018 vintage is one of the winery's best efforts. TASTING NOTES: This wine is bright with aromas and flavors of ripe red and black fruits and a light touch of oak. Enjoy it with grilled lamb chops."

91 Points - Wine Spectator (2018)

"Well-built, with a focused core of red and black currant fruit, mixed with dark earth, sweet tobacco and singed vanilla notes."

90+ Points - Jeb Dunnuck (2018)

"Always a solid value in Napa Cabernet, the 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Artemis has a varietal nose of darker currants and subtle blue fruits as well as green tobacco, lead pencil shavings, chocolate, and cedar wood. This carries to a medium-bodied, nicely textured, elegant 2018 that offers the vintage's fresher, more elegant texture, present tannins, and plenty of length on the finish. It's not for those craving blockbuster wines, but it has elegance and charm. It should benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and keep for 10-12."
