94 Points - Tim Atkin. Thelema consistently produce wines of stunning quality and value and this Chardonnay is no exception. 10 months in French oak barrels have given this wine a complex profile of ripe fruit, toasty oak with a lovely texture.

"Energised citrus with nice stony notes and a hint of soy. Really saline, with an alluring fynbos note and a citrus core."
Taste
Winemakers tasting notes: Aromas of ripe peach, grapefruit marmalade, blossoms and complex yeasty flavours complement the toasty oak in the wine. The palate is clean with a lovely texture and long finish.
About the Producer
Situated on the South Easterly side of the Simonsberg Mountain with elevations 530m above sea level with mainly south-facing slopes, possessing some of the highest elevations in Stellenbosch. The high altitude and the rich red soils are ideal for premium quality wine grape production.
Through the understanding of our optimal climate and soil type, Thelema have firmly entrenched themselves as one of the leaders in Cabernet Sauvignon, placing Stellenbosch Cabernets firmly on the global wine map.
Thelema believe grape quality is the single most important factor in serious winemaking, and their policy is one of minimum interference, allowing the wines to be a true expression of each vineyard.
