The Ca Florian Amarone Riserva is made from a selection of the finest grapes from the Ca Florian cru, one of the Tommasi familys most prestigious vineyards. A blend of Corvina 75%, Corvinone 20%,  Rondinella 5%, a deep ruby red with garnet highlights, on the nose it displays an elegant and very complex bouquet, with notes of ripe red fruits (cherries, blackberries and plums) along with spicy nuances of liquorice and bitter cocoa. It is full-bodied and austere on the palate, with rich tannins and a very long, splendidly fresh finish.

Vivino Rating: 4.5 (Apr 2024)

Wine Press Ratings

94 Points (2013) - Falstaff

"Dark ruby red with a delicately lightening edge. Very ripe forest fruits on the nose, blackberries, plus rich cherry fruit, violets, mint. Polished on the palate and with great juiciness, comes in many layers, firm, in the aftertaste still minimal drying, can mature for a long time"

94 Points (2012) - Decanter

"After a relatively mild winter, the 2012 season was one of the driest of the past few years. Rains at the end of August and a good September balanced the vintage, which was relatively low in terms of yields. Ca Florian shows a relatively modern style, focused on filigree precision and displaying great definition of cherry fruit combined with bay leaf, myrtle and chocolate. The elegant finish arrives after almost-silky tannins and well-integrated zesty acidity.

Drinking Window 2021 - 2030"

90 Points (2012) - Wine Enthusiast

"Aromas of underbrush mingle with incense and camphor. The big, chewy palate offers mouthfuls of steeped prune and licorice alongside assertive, close-grained tannins that grip the close. Drink 20222027."
