Winemaking:
High-quality grapes are carefully selected in the vineyards of Quinta da
Aveleda. The result is a light wine, balanced acidity and alcohol content. The
wine is then subjected to slow distillation in a still cared Charentais, brought
from the Cognac region in France. The wonderful amber colour and rich bouquet,
stem from a long rest (12 yrs) in oak casks from the Limousin region, famous for
its unique characteristics of wood.
Grape Varieties:
Vinhão, Azal Tinto, Barraçal, Espadeiro
Tasting Notes:
Amber and clear in appearance, it presents a complex and harmonious bouquet,
reminiscent of the aroma of berries and wildflowers, surrounded by a delicate
sense of smell and hardwood aftertaste. Its origin in aromatic and fresh grapes
with low alcohol content gives it the softness, velvety and complex aromas so
appreciated.
Store and Serve Advices:
Must be served at a temperature between 22 and 25 degrees C.
Food Pairing:
Considered the best spirit from Portugal, is ideal to serve as a digestive.
