Textbook Medoc claret from a beautifully situated property, owned by the Pagès family, overlooking the Gironde estuary with 77 hectares of 40+ year old vines: a fairly typical Medoc blend with predominantly Cabernet Sauvignon, aged 16 months in new to three year old oak barriques. Lots of ripe, forward blackcurrant fruit, supple texture and firm but rounded tannins, this will develop for a good few years yet.
