A light golden colour with elegant herbal aromas typical os the variety such as asparagus and floral aromas. The palate is mineral with well balanced acidity and a persistent finishAlcohol 13.3%, Residual sugar 2.59 g/L, total acidity 4.72g/LCarmen was founded in 1850 and it is the oldest winery in Chile. It was where Carmenere was rediscovered in 1994 in the Maipo valley where the winery is. The winery has had huge investment in recent years and is now an ultra modern winery with huge heritage. Emily Faulconer is the Head wine-maker and she is an incredible innovative wine-maker and is so proud of Carmen´s vineyard holdings that produces the best quality grapes from all the different valleys that Chile offers. The climate is very special in Chile with natural barriers protecting the unique terroir from the driest desert in the North, The Andes to the east, the Antartica to the south and the Pacific ocean to the west. It is a superb place to grow wine!
