La Zerba is a certified organic vineyard located in the Piedmont wine region in Northern Italy. This is a DOCG Gavi made from 100% organic Cortese grapes. Often featured in some top wine publications, La Zerba hand pick all their grapes in small crates to ensure only the highest quality grapes are selected for vinification.

The wine is lower in alcohol at 12% which makes it perfect for a glass of wine over lunch. Gavi is characterised by a clear and brilliant straw-yellow colour in the glass with intense scents of white flowers, peach, citrus fruits and pear. In the mouth La Zerba Gavi 2018 DOCG is fresh and soft with evident minerality from the clay soils. Ideal with appetizers as well as fish and white meats. I recommend pairing this wine with oven cooked turkey breast sliced over a fresh green salad with an Italian dressing.
