The Warenghem distillery was founded at the end of the 19th century by the Warenghem family on the Breton rose granite coast. The Elixir d'Armorique, a blend of 35 plants, is still the flagship product of the distillery and receives numerous awards. The Armorik 15 Ans Whisky Breton Single Malt Edition Limitée matures for nine years in bourbon barrels and then for six years in sherry casks. This is a limited bottling of 1,500 bottles. The bottling is neither colored nor chill-filtered. Tasting notes:Color: Amber. Nose: Rich, intense, ripe fruit, mango, passion fruit, rancio, wood, yellow peach, honey, caramel, dried apricots, cumin, peat. Taste: Lively, sweet, fresh, juicy pears, banana, honey, mango, pepper, cloves, cinnamon. Finish: Long lasting, warm, cinnamon, pepper, peach jam.
