Beefeater Gin is still made today using James Burrough's original 19th century recipe. The famous botanical gardens of Chelsea Physic Gardens were often visited by James Burrough and in many ways served as inspiration for Beefeater's original recipe. When Beefeater Master Distiller, Desmond Payne, learned of this, he set about creating Beefeater London Garden, a special edition gin that is the result of countless flavour experiments and, of course, trips to the garden. The result is a gin based on 11 botanicals that retains the citrusy precision of Beefeater London Dry while incorporating leafy and herbal notes with lemon verbena and thyme. Botanicals: juniper, thyme, lemon verbena, orange and lemon peel, almonds, coriander seed, liquorice root, orris root, angelica root, angelica seed.Tasting notes:Colour: Clear.
