The brand Don Q takes its name from the worldwide known novella "Don Quixote" by the author Miguel Cervantes. The Serralles family produces the rum according to old family tradition. The sugar cane of their own plantations is used for the production. The Gran Reserva Añejo XO is a blend of different rums aged between 9 and a maximum of 12 years. The maturation takes place in American white oak barrels. An important component of this rum is a 50 year old rum that ages in the Solera Reserva process. The long experience of the family makes the Gran Añejo a very exclusive rum. Tasting notes:Color: amber. Nose: Sweet, rich, notes of vanilla, cinnamon. Taste: Complex, sweet, notes of vanilla, caramel, honey. Finish: Long lasting. Preferred "on the rocks" or drunk neat.
