Fox terriers are known for being sweet and rather mischievous dogs, and so are the Douglas Laing family fox terriers. Scallywag picks up on these characteristics and as the name itself suggests, it is the "little rascal" among Douglas Laing bottlings. An explosion of rich dark fruits, chocolate and spices, interwoven with light vanilla, caused by a mixture of matured Speyside single malts, which mature predominantly in Spanish sherry casks. This wintry Scallywag matures in Oloroso sherry casks and Pedro Ximenez sherry butts and is bottled without dye or chill filtration, at a warming natural cask strength of 54% vol. Bottled in small precious batches and limited to 5,400 bottles worldwide. Tasting notes:Color: Amber. Nose: Fruity, spicy, sweet, candied cherries, dark chocolate.
