Located just 90 kilometers north of Chile's capital Santiago, the traditional Aconcagua Valley is the last of the country's transverse valleys. Its basin is formed by the Aconcagua River, which flows from the Andes Mountains into the Pacific Ocean. Its riverbanks are composed of alluvial and colluvial terraces, ideal for growing the best grape varieties. The great telluric beauty of the valley and its mild Mediterranean climate, with a long dry season and rains concentrated mainly in winter, were probably the facts that attracted the attention of Don Maximiano Errazuriz, who founded his winery there 145 years ago with a great vision. Tasting notes:Ruby red with violet highlights. On the nose of red and black berries. This is followed by notes of raspberries, blackberries, mint and ground coffee. Structured and complex on the palate, plums and some toasted aromas follow. Long lasting on the finish. Grape varieties: 85% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 5% Cabernet Franc. Aging: 12 months in barrique. Serving temperature: 16°C - 18°C. Storage potential: Up to 6 years. This wine harmonizes perfectly with roasted and grilled beef, lamb and pork.
