The Kyoto Distillery is the first Japanese gin distillery, which is located in Minami-Ku, in the south of the city of Kyoto. There is a Japanese tradition where gold leaf is added to sake at times of celebrations such as New Year, weddings and festivals. The gold for KIN NO BI comes from a company founded in 1711 and based in Kyoto, Horikin. The bottle label was created in collaboration with Kira Karacho.
