La Maison du Rhum is an independent bottler from France. The company releases limited series of exceptional bottlings, from world-renowned rum producers, from major destinations. A true treasure trove of rums. Rhumerie Chamarel distillery is known for producing one of the best rums on the island of Mauritius. As the younger distillery on the island (inaugurated in 2008), French style rums are produced from sugar cane juice. The sugar cane used for the production comes from the distillery's own cultivation. The 5-year aging of this finesse-rich rum takes place in French oak and ex-palo cortado sherry casks. The long maturation time positively affects the color, aroma and taste of the blended rum. Distilled: 2015 Bottled: 2020 Batch N°3: Limited to 4,190 bottles.
