The Perfect Circle whiskies are produced by Shiki Shuzo Co. Ltd. in Japan. This distillery collaborates with many Japanese domestic distilleries. Shiki Shuzo is an independent company which has a business relationship with Matsui Shuzo, the producer of Kurayoshi whisky. 'Enso' is a sacred symbol in Zen Buddhism meaning 'circle'. This calligraphy is traditionally drawn with only one brushstroke and is not changed afterwards. This whisky has the sacred Japanese symbol printed as a label on the bottle. Juju Kurihara is the Japanese calligrapher responsible for the design. She is the head of the 'Sosekido' school in Japan. Maen Perfect Circle Whisky is a blend of malt and grain whiskies distilled two to three times in Copper Pots and aged between three and five years. The maturation takes place in American white oak bourbon barrels. Tasting notes:Color: Bright amber. Nose: Fruity, notes of citrus, vanilla.
