The Nigl winery is located in Kirchberg im Kremstal and is run by Martin Nigl and family. Cultivated are Grüner Veltliner, Riesling, Sauvignon Blanc, Muskateller, Blauer Zweigelt, Pinot Noir and Merlot grapes. 90% of the vineyards are used for white wine and 10% for red wine. The Nigl family manages the vineyards sustainably. Tasting notes:Light greenish yellow in the glass. Inviting nose of yellow apple aromas with a fine fruit-driven style. On the palate of pineapple and rhubarb with balanced acidity. Long lasting, spicy - tangy and mineral on the finish. Grape variety: Grüner Veltliner. Vinification: classic in steel tank. Soils: Loess soil. Residual sugar: 3,1 g/l. Acidity: 6,2 g/l. Closure: Screw cap. The wine harmonizes very well with poultry and pork and pasta dishes.
