The family business is one of the oldest wine producers in Spain. Already more than 200 years they focus on quality and tradition. In 1874, Osborne took over Bodega Montecillo, the third oldest winery in Rioja. The bottles have featured the Osborne bull for decades, designed by Manolo Prieto. He is the symbol of passion, strength and pride. The maturation of the sherries is done in the traditional solera method. Awards: -GOLD medal at the IWSC 2014. -91 points at de Wine Enthusiast 2014 Tasting notes:Rich straw yellow in the glass. Expressive notes of fruit breads, raisins prunes and dried fruit on the nose. On the palate these notes are repeated, as well as notes of toasted barriques, cigar boxes and oak are added. Long lasting on the finish. Grape variety: Pedro Ximénez. Aging: In American oak barrels. Serving temperature: 11-13°C. Enjoy the sherry after dinner, with a dessert or blue cheese.
