The Poli distillery was founded in 1898 by GioBatto Poli. Today, it is managed by the four siblings Jacopo, Geampaolo, Barbara and Andrea Poli. It is located in the north-eastern Italian municipality of Schiavon, in the province of Veneto.
The grappa is made from Merlot and Cabernet grapes. Distillation takes place in copper stills. The Sarpa Oro matures in French oak barrels, which have a capacity of 225 liters. Tasting notes:Colour: Gold.
Nose: Exotic fruits, lemons, licorice, vanilla.
Taste: Complex and pronounced.
Finish: Long and persistent.
A drinking temperature of 18-20 °C is recommended.
