Espero Balboa is a rum originating from the Dominican Republic and Barbados. The word Espero means hope. The rum got its full name, Ron Espero Balboa, from the famous Spanish discoverer and conqueror. The name is a tribute to the discoverer Vasco Núñez de Balboa, who explored the American continent in the 16th century. This special rum matures first in Bourbon and then in oak barrels. The aging process lasts 8 to 12 years and is carried out using the Solera method.Tasting notes:Colour: dark amber. Nose: Exotic, fruity, raisins, vanilla, oak.
