The Santo Domingo is produced by the Brugal distillery and is a credit to its country of origin, the Dominican Republic. In Germany and Europe, it has been rather unknown up to now, but it has made a name for itself as an insider tip among connoisseurs. In the second half of the 19th century, the Spanish emigrant Don Andrés Brugal Montaner decided to leave Cuba and produce rum in the Dominican Republic. He founded the now renowned family business Brugal, based in the capital Santo Domingo. Around 1.5 million litres of rum are produced annually. But not only dark, but also white rum is part of the product range. The Santo Domingo GRAN ANTAÑO RESERVA Ron is produced using the Solera method and matures for at least eight years in oak barrels.Tasting notes:Colour: Rich gold with amber accents.
