The Schwarz Winery on Lake Neusiedl was founded 20 years ago by Hans Schwarz. The trained butcher turned his profession into a hobby and his hobby into a profession. The wine lover started with wine production and quickly gained high reputation in the wine scene. Today, the wine farm is run by Hans and Michael, his son. Tasting notes:Medium greenish yellow in the glass. In the nose spicy, woody, floral, after yellow fruits, cloves and cardamom. At the palate a clear and powerful structure, after caramel, yellow tropical fruits and roasting flavours. Long lasting with flavours of honey in the finish. Grape varieties: 85% Chardonnay and 15% Grüner Veltliner. Aging: 12 months, 60% in new wooden barrels, 40% in refilled wooden barrels. Residual sugar: 1,0 g/l. Acidity: 7,8 g/l. Closure: Natural cork. Drinking temperature: 10-12°C. This wine goes perfectly with veal steak, chanterelle ragout and full-bodied strong hard cheeses.
