The varied weather elicits both distinctive aromas and delicious flavors from the distillate. Every single ingredient comes from the surrounding area and is sourced no more than an hour's drive away. Ginger Beer Cask - the sixth annual batch release of the Starward Project's ginger beer recipe. The ginger beer is produced at Port Melbourne Distillery and aged in ex-Starward whisky casks for 6 months. Starward red wine and apera barrels are blended together to be followed by a finish in the ginger beer barrels for another 6 months. Awards: - Double gold medal at the 2022 San Francisco World Spirits Competition. Tasting notes:Color: Rich gold. Nose: ginger, oranges, dark chocolate. Taste: Strong spicy ginger, fresh vanilla, pineapple, sweet raisins, figs. Finish: Long lasting, warm, candied ginger, citrus. Best enjoyed neat and/or with dark chocolate.
