In the 18th century, the Torres family bought their first vineyard in the Penedès region. A century later, in 1870, the Torres winery was founded by Jaime Torres Vendrell. At the same time Antoni Gaudí built his most famous work, Casa Milá also known as 'La Pedrera', one of the most important buildings of modernism, in Barcelona. The Torres 30 Jaime I Reserva de la Familia, named after Torres' founder, pays tribute to Gaudí and honours their passion and spirit of innovation. This brandy is made from Parellada grapes, the maturation is done according to the typical Solera method. American oak barrels aged between 15 and 30 years are used for the ageing.
