2 x Pinot Gris, 2018:

If you like a little sweetness and texture in your wine, then our Pinot Gris may suit you. It is off-dry, with aromatic peach and pear fruit alongside the floral character on the nose. On the palate, this has excellent balance with crisp acidity. It is fairly full in body, with plenty of juicy fruit intensity, but is refreshing and long, with a lively citrus and stone fruit finish. Excellent with spicy dishes and roast pork.

  • Type: White
  • Grape Variety: Pinot Gris
  • ABV: 11.5%

2 x Pinot Blanc, 2018:

Our Pinot Blanc is dry with pear and primrose on the nose and pink grapefruit, melon and sweet fennel on the palate. It has zippy acidity balanced by a touch of sweetness which lasts well into the lengthy finish. Excellent with smoked fish and goat's cheese.

  • Type: White
  • Grape Variety: Pinot Blanc
  • ABV: 11%

2 x Bacchus, 2018:

Our Bacchus is floral on the nose with orange peel and grapefruit on the palate . It has moderate acidity with a touch of sweetness making it easy to drink as an aperitive.

  • Type: White
  • Grape Variety: Bacchus
  • ABV: 11%
About the Vineyard
Stopham Estate Vineyards story began in 2007 when winemaker Simon Woodhead planted 21,000 vines on the six-hectare (15-acre) estate following the successful completion of a Viticulture course at Plumpton Agricultural College in East Sussex.

Joined by Assistant Winemaker Tom Bartlett in 2010, just in time for the first vintage, the pair today share a common passion for English wine and work hard to raise the bar crafting inspired, sustainable wines from Sussex land.

Each vintage from Stopham Estate tells the story of the changeable Sussex countryside, with all of its unique trials and tribulations. We only use grapes grown on the estate and nurture our hand-picked vines to craft white wines that offer fruity flavours and a crisp natural acidity thats good enough for royalty genuinely.
