Were only able to make this wonderful still red about once every 5 years, when we get an early spring and a long hot summer. Its certainly worth waiting for! This Rondo & Dornfelder blend has a deep garnet colour, and a lovely lightness in the mouth at only 10% alc. On the nose, there are dense bramble fruits. On the palate, youll get flavours of blackcurrant, gentle clove spice, liquorice and ink.

This elegant wine loves to breathe we recommend decanting 15-20 minutes before drinking (if you can wait that long!).

This light and elegant wine pairs very well with a diverse range of cheeses in different styles. Experiment to find what you like best, and dont be afraid to take risks! A light cheddar or French comté are great matches for this wine. It also pairs exceptionally well with earthy foods. Think of something like wild mushroom roasted in light herbs, or roast duck or pork.
