Terrasses du Larzac is a relatively unknown but excellent Appellation. Set in the foothills of the Cevennes, the terraces descend from the high Larzac plateau escaping the burning summer heat of the Langeudoc plane. The limestone terroir allows for excellent drainage and these wines are gaining in popularity. We cannot recommend Les Hauts d'Arboras enough and it also one to put down for a few years should you wish. Small black fruits, subtle and soft, mocha, liquorice and a spicy finish.
