Meerlust Rubicon is the flagship wine of this Stellenbosch estate. Owned by the Myburgh family since 1756 and now run by the eighth generation. Rubicon was first made in 1984 and is a Cabernet Sauvignon dominant Bordeaux blend and only made in vintages deemed good enough and has been declassified to Merrlust Red in five vintages.
