This traditional sparkling speciality from Italy's most famous fizz region in the north has a unique, fruity secret - a gentle infusion of strawberries. We fell in love with Fragolino instantly. Winemaker Luciano Vettori, a master of frizzante wines - the Italian term for gently sparkling - uses a modern approach to create this Summertime favourite. For Fragolino he makes a smooth, plummy red from ripe Merlot grapes, adds refreshing bubbles and finally a gorgeous, fresh strawberry essence.It's truly delicious but don't treat it too seriously. Above all it's fun, lovely, easy quaffing on its own, and surprisingly good with strawberries (marinated in red wine with a twist of black pepper).
