Pierre and Marie have gradually taken over from their father Paul one of the greats of the Côtes Chalonnais. Their family domaine founded by their Grandfather Henri in 1947 when the region was almost abandoned after the First World War. The Jacquesons have been leading light in bringing the wines of Rully to the heights of today. Using hands on in every area, manual viticulture with minimul use of Chemical, hand picking, rare in this region and careful vinification in stainless steel and oak casks 25% new. They work 2.5 hectatres in the 1er Cru of Préaux, the vines here planted in 1967 offer a full palate of mineral wrapped plums and cherries with a pleasant oaky warmth and impressive length. Drinking now but will keep well too.
