This tiny property produces just 7 barrels about 700 bottles. The 2015 is drinking beautifully.
The tiny appellation of Saint-Georges-Saint-Emilion, the smallest in Bordeaux, is situated about 4k north of the town of St Emilion. With sandier soils this always makes a lighter style of wine but also offers great value.
The tiny Ch la Rose St Georges is only 1.5 hectares producing on average 7 barrels roughly 700 bottles a year. Planted with 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc, this the from the excellent 2015 vintage, with a nice bit of age produces a classic plum and fig fruited soft tannined St Emilion at a good price.
Style: medium-full bodied, long, rich
Maturity: drinking well now but could age too
