Martin Winery are championing one of China’s indigenous grapes Longyan or Dragon Eyes as it is known locally, this gives a perfumed tropical note to the nose and fresh dry palate
Martin Winery was set up in 1997 in the Yanhui Valley of the north easterly Huailai Province with help from former Prime Minister Sir Edward Heath, who liked a glass of wine or two. While most of the quality Chinese wineries are using French varietals, here at Martin they are championing one of China’s indigenous grapes Longyan or Dragon Eyes as it is known locally, this gives a perfumed tropical note to the nose and fresh dry palate, very interesting.
