Château La Gorce is run by the enthusiastic and devoted Fabre family who have made first-rate Médoc at this domaine since 1980. There are 45 hectares in total made up of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. For the Cru Bourgeois 55% Merlot and 45% Cabernet Sauvignon are combined to form a classic Médoc blend. Only the best grapes selected from oldest vines make it into the Cru which is then aged for 12-18 months in oak. Intense and generous on the nose with red fruits aromas laced with spice. The rich palate has good attack with a good firm structure, supple tannins and superb mouth feel. Highly recommended.
