SCOTCH WHISKY - SINGLE MALT
Despite its reputation as a somewhat traditional spirit, Scotch whisky offers
incredible diversity of flavour, with single malts and blends ranging from
elegant, floral expressions to rich, fruity and chocolatey drams.
A rich and sumptuous single malt from Glenfarclas in Speyside, a distillery
renowned for its bold, Sherried whiskies matured solely in European oak oloroso
casks. This 15-year-old sits in the middle of the range, and with its brooding
fruitiness and complexity represents one of the best value Sherried Scotch
whiskies around.
Serving Suggestions: Best served neat, though add ginger ale and plenty of ice
for a rich, spicy Highball.
TASTING NOTES
The syrupy nose with hints of gingerbread, malt loaf, butterscotch and sticky
blood orange juice hints at the depths waiting in the glass. On the palate its
gratifyingly sweet and oily, a mouthcoating texture that delivers dried fruits,
fruitcake, earthy oloroso sherry and a black pepper spice.
